The New York based label debuts a range that blurs the line between men and women's clothing

Stylish and wearable. That seems to be the design ethos of Club Monaco. It’s simple, classic pieces that are unfussy, items that you can reach into your closet and incorporate into your everyday lives. It’s the person that makes the clothing and not the other way around, and that’s exactly what Club Monaco does best.

While the brand has always celebrated individuality and an openness to interpretation by encouraging their customers to interpret their style however as they please, this season at New York fashion week, Club Monaco is proud to merge their men’s and women’s collection under one design vision for the first time ever, together with a brand-new store concept and retail experience that focuses on the customer.

The men's and women's collections will essentially be designed together under one unified vision, with select key pieces proving genderless, enabling the concept of a fluid wardrobe that you can share with your partner and vice versa. While technically the pieces from the new collection aren't unisex, the idea is to let customers decide exactly how they would choose to style the products. Think of a woman in a pair of loose-fitted men's trousers or a man in a slim-cut women's coat.

Heralded by Steven Cateron, Head of Design, their autumn/winter 2018 print and video campaign will feature a cast of 10, who worked together with Cateron to style their own looks and add their own personal touches, highlighting one of Club Monaco’s most important values—that the brand is never designed for just one woman or man.

Titled “No Ordinary Life”, the campaign offers a glimpse into the lives of real people and their moments that inspire the brand, focusing on the beauty of the everyday and celebrating each person’s individual experience of the world.

“It feels like all the pieces have come together. We’ve always known who we are, but this season marks a clear refocus and a new intention to share that with the world in a real way,” says Cateron.

This collection marks the first one under Cateron’s design direction and will be available at all Club Monaco stores.
