Medicorp will be providing all the coverage you need to watch the games from July 23 onwards

The highly anticipated Tokyo 2020 Olympics will finally begin tomorrow on July 23 with an opening ceremony that will take place at Olympic Stadium. Despite the restrictions imposed on the games as a result of the Covid-19 situation in Japan, the world is certainly psyched to witness their countries compete in the most prestigious sporting event in the world after it was postponed last year.

Here in Singapore, the hype over the Olympic Games is certainly at its peak with the entire country backing 23 of our Team Singapore athletes who have travelled to Japan to compete for medals and national pride.

This year, Mediacorp will be providing the country with broad-ranging live and on-demand coverage of the Olympic Games across their different platforms over the 17 days of the games. 

In fact, Mediacorp will be providing live coverage on 14 dedicated Mewatch channels as well as a specially curated channel that will only focus on Team Singapore events.

All these 14 channels are free on the Mewatch website or on the app.

Channel 5 will be airing over 200 hours of coverage during the Olympic Games as well as providing breaking news updates through local news bulletins, radio stations and digital portals. 

Their coverage will begin with the opening ceremony which will be happening at 7 pm on July 23.

They will also be providing daily action at the Olympic Games, Team Singapore highlights and winning moments and other video-on-demand content leading up to the closing ceremony which will take place on August 8 at 7 pm.
