Newlyweds Jessicacindy Hartono And Kong Wan Long Fete Their Romance At The China Club Singapore
It was just January this year that gown designer Jessicacindy Hartono and JustCo co-founder Kong Wan Long had their wedding in the winter wonderland of Gstaad, Switzerland. The fairytale ceremony was made more magical with snowfall and of course, ethereal dresses from the bride’s eponymous label that are straight out of a bridal fantasy.
And we would expect nothing less from the power couple—together, they helm Jessicacindy’s bridal boutique, where she is the creative director and Wan Long serves as managing director. The bespoke label is behind the show-stopping dresses of brides and celebrities, including local personalities Joanne Peh, Liv Lo and Fiona Xie.
Six months after their unforgettable ceremony, we caught up with the newlyweds in another picturesque venue—The China Club Singapore—to find out what makes a dream wedding.
My first impression of the place was simply ‘wow’. The decor is so exotic, intricate and detailed, it is like stepping into a different world.

Sitting on the 52nd floor of Capital Tower, it’s almost hard to believe such a space exists in the heart of the central business district of Singapore, much less on top of a skyscraper. Decorated in ornate woodwork, elaborate wallpapers and lush textiles, the two-storey club whisks guests back to the golden era of China from the moment they exit the lift.
“My first impression of the place was simply ‘wow’,” Jessicacindy enthused. “The decor is so exotic, intricate and detailed, it is like stepping into a different world.”
I really appreciate how the oriental palette of red and gold is juxtaposed against Singapore’s modern skyline of blue and grey. The stark contrast is such a visually exciting and inspiring experience.

While the space oozes with old-world romance, the dining rooms are designed with modern sensibilities to accommodate occasions of any size, from intimate solemnisations to grand banquets. Wherever guests are seated, they won't be complaining—every room boasts breathtaking views of the cityscape from the 16-metre floor-to-ceiling windows, which is Wan Long's favourite detail.

I think it’s the personal touches which incorporate the couple’s personality and story into various details of the wedding that make it special.

With a team of experienced staff, Chinese hospitality definitely does not disappoint at The China Club, where meticulous attention is paid to every detail to ensure an unforgettable experience.
The contemporary Cantonese menu, crafted by executive chef Yim Yiu Wing is individually-plated to accommodate any special dietary requirements—and we can be assured that the head chef, who has served the likes of royalties such as Prince Andrew, Duke of York and celebrities like Hong Kong’s George Lam and Sally Yeh has something to please every palate.
