The exclusive brand harnesses the energy of cells for beauty that transcends what you see

As the saying goes, beauty is only skin-deep, and it is what is on the inside that matters most. But while we can improve our appearance with the right products and treatments, how do we achieve this holistic form of beauty? Noesa, Raffles Hotel Singapore's latest addition to its array of boutiques, seems to have the answer for that.

A premium beauty brand that hails from Berlin, Germany, Noesa pursues a higher level of interactive beauty—one that is charismatic, mysterious and spontaneous. It is founded by Gerd Gerken, futurologist and former consultant to Germany’s ex-prime minister Helmut Kohl.

An authority on “mind design”—rituals that combine the scientific fields of brain research (mind) and system theory (design) with holistic healing (energy body)—favoured by Europe’s elite, Gerd found that his clients’ appearances and minds became healthier and more beautiful over the course of his therapy.

This sparked a 10-year-long experimentation with three scientists, each Nobel Prize laureates in their fields, to replicate this concept into the skincare field. The study culminated in Noesa, which launched in 2004.

To define Noesa’s range of cosmetics as merely skincare would be an understatement. A pioneer in cell art, Gerd believes that the key to successful skincare is actually cell care. The activity level of cells in your skin will determine how it looks like and its health. When your cells are full of vitality, your skin will be able to recover and optimise itself for a youthful and radiant complexion.

Combined with the concept of “mind design”, the foundation of Noesa is not only to enhance the skin’s condition but to also advance personal characteristics, attraction and creativity through its skincare rituals, transcending beyond physical beauty.

The brand is able to achieve this by harnessing the energy of biophotons—optical or ultraviolet light particles emitted by cells in living systems, found in everything from plants to humans—with Alchemetics and Danadem.

Unique to Noesa, Alchemetics is a composite of plant extracts that combine the plants' characteristics in order to create natural energy patterns in the skin to stimulate renewal. Fused by hand, Noesa offers a selection of Alchemetics for its products, each with their unique cocktail of herbal signatures.

Danadem, on the other hand, plays the role of a carrier with its complex of ingredients, combined to mimic the skin's internal structure of the skin and effectively transport active agents into its cells.

Noesa’s ingredients are all-natural, most of which are wild plants harvested from the Alps in the south of France. Growing in the mountains at an altitude of 1,000 meters, these plants are charged with biophotons due to their exposure to direct sunlight.

The selection process is especially meticulous and precise—only one per cent of the best quality ingredients will make the cut for production. Noesa's products also exclude emulsifiers, preservatives, mineral oil, artificial spices and colouring, earning the brand certifications by the EU and FDA.

Already well-received amongst the upper class in Europe, Noesa entered the Hong Kong market in 2008, subsequently opening stores in Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, and Taipei—which propelled it into popularity amongst high society in Asia. Next year, the German brand will make its foray into Singapore, opening its first Southeast Asia outpost in Raffles Arcade on January 7.
