Sneakerheads, here's how to cop the collaborative kicks via an online raffle

Tetsu Nishiyama’s WTAPS is the latest, and first Japanese brand to collaborate with American footwear giant New Balance for the revival of the 992 model after a 14 year-long hiatus.

Injecting his signature olive drab colourway into the silhouette, Nishiyama still retains hints of grey from the original 992—creating a perfect blend of New Balance’s heritage with WTAPS’ classic aesthetic. Featuring an upper made from suede, nubuck, and mesh, the M992WT also features a hint of orange on its Abzorb-equipped (which is New Balance's blend of foam cushioning and compression set, featuring rubber), white and olive-based sole.

The WTAPS brand also replaces the traditional 992 on the heel and tongue of the sneaker.

Tatler Asia

This highly coveted sneaker, first launched exclusively in Japan on May 1, is already going for four times its original price on the secondary market and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Missed out on the drop? This might be your last (and only) chance to cop the WTAPS x New Balance M992WT.

Local multi-label store Surrender will be releasing the sneakers on July 30, via two methods: an Instagram contest, and an in-store raffle. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates on their website.
