Drop Two of Virgil Abloh and Nigo's LV² Louis Vuitton Squared Collection Launches on August 28 in Singapore

The final wave of the collaboration will launch at Louis Vuitton Ngee Ann City boutique, featuring bags like the Mini Tote, Mini Soft Trunk, Amazone Sling Bag and more

Louis Vuitton is no stranger to streetwear collaborations. The fashion house sent monogram Keepalls and luggage bags emblazoned with artist Stephen Sprouse’s graffiti art down the runway as early as 2001, when it was under the helm of Marc Jacobs.

Louis Vuitton continued to launch inspiring collaborations through the years, featuring the likes of Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, Yayoi Kusama, as well as one of the most hyped luxury-streetwear collaborations under Kim Jones’ direction—Louis Vuitton x Supreme in 2017, which took the fashion world by storm.

One would expect the same design codes for its latest Pre-Fall 2020 collection, Louis Vuitton Squared. After all, it is a collaboration between current men’s artistic director and founder of his own cult streetwear label Virgil Abloh, and designer Nigo—a Japanese streetwear pioneer who founded A Bathing Ape (Bape), Billionaire Boys Club, Ice Cream and Human Made.

Instead, the streetwear duo opted for a tailoring-focused collection, inspired by London’s subcultural history and the travel-centric DNA of Louis Vuitton. The result is London Mod-era dandy meets Tokyo streets—featuring cropped mod suits in magnified Louis Vuitton Damier checks, new bag shapes emblazoned with Louis Vuitton Squared patchwork, and as well as preppy footwear and silver jewellery carrying the Louis Vuitton Squared logo.

Releasing the collection in two phases, the first wave of Louis Vuitton Squared was released on June 26 this year, with the second wave dropping in Singapore on August 28. Here's a teaser of what to expect:
