This new addition expands the collaborative Blancpain X Swatch Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection to six watches
Following the success of Blancpain and Swatch’s collaboration on the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection last September, the brands are launching another dive watch that pays homage to Blancpain’s iconic Fifty Fathoms, which is recognised as having pioneered true dive watches over seventy years ago.
Named Ocean of Storms, this sleek black non-limited model joins the existing collection, of which each of the five watches is named after a different ocean. Similarly, Ocean of Storms is inspired by and takes its name from the lunar mare Oceanus Procellarum, which is known as the largest mare or “sea” on the moon, covering over 2 million sq km.

Taking inspiration from the colour of the new moon, the Ocean of Storms’s 42.3mm case comes in black Bioceramic with a matching black sunbrushed dial displaying the shared Blancpain X Swatch logos as well as a black NATO strap made from recycled fishing nets.
Just like the other five watches in the collection, the Ocean of Storms boasts the revolutionary Swatch mechanical movement, Sistem51, the first and only mechanical movement whose production is entirely automated. Comprising just 51 parts, including one central screw, the movement is anti-magnetic, thanks to its Nivachron hairspring and has a 90-hour power reserve. And as evidence of its claim to fame, the watch is water-resistant up to 91m, which is equivalent to 50 fathoms.
