Watches & Wonders 2021: Hermès Unveils the H08, its Newest Men's Watch Collection
French luxury house Hermès has dropped a new dedicated men's watch collection called Hermès H08. The collection has five distinct 39 mm references. Four in titanium and one piece with a graphene-filled composite case.
The original cushion-shaped collection had a sporting-inspired design that mingles taut and flowing lines, while the circular dials are framed by a case with softened edges. The mineral materials and tones, as well as the gradations of black and grey, rub shoulders with other blue and orange models from Hermès.
The brand's attention to detail is showcased through the H08's dial which includes a distinctive font for the numerals, which have been specifically designed for this watch. The form of the zero and eight numerals evoke that of the case, taking on its silhouette.
The collection balances Hermès' own style and that of a well-rounded watch that makes it well-suited for everyday wear. It's further amplified by the mechanical self-winding Hermès H1837 movement, which was developed by manufacturer Vaucher Fleurier.
Three large cushion-shaped models are fitted with a screw-down crown with 100 metres worth of water resistance. The woven strap is specifically designed for the collection, which epitomises a style that is as sporty as it is sophisticated, staying true to the world of Hermès menswear.
