This new generation of accessories will be officially unveiled January 21, during the label's fall/winter 2017-2018 menswear collection showcase.
From a collab with Swedish fashion giant H&M and a kids' collection to relaunching Balmain accessories, Olivier Rousteing is certainly leaving his mark on the Parisian label's history, whether with his creativity, his expertise or his unwavering commitment.
With just days to go before the Paris menswear shows, Balmain has announced the return of its accessories collection, featuring leather goods for men and women plus a new shoe range, among other things. The creations will be presented January 21 during the label's fall/winter 2017-2018 menswear and pre-fall womenswear collection preview.
The new accessories collection comprises three product families channeling three different sources of inspiration: the fashion house's history and its archives, the techniques and expertise of the Balmain craftspeople, and the signature style Olivier Rousteing has brought to the label as its latest creative director.
Called "Renaissance," "Balmain Le 44" and "Domaine," the three lines showcase the label's creativity and expertise, featuring a host of couture details, fine materials and signature symbols of the Balmain universe. Each line also has its own golden icon, in the form of a gold medallion, gold thread and a gold charm.
The label has released a teaser video offering a glimpse of the upcoming collection. Directed by Pascal Dangin, the film sees Olivier Rousteing in person present the iconic details of each line against a backdrop of modernity and music—both now intrinsically linked with the label.
