Italian fashion house Versace pays homage to Los Angeles and celebrates life and diversity with its Pre-Spring 2018 collection. In terms of looks, the collection channels themes from retro glamour to rock ‘n' roll to boho chic, all with a distinctly urban vibe.

"I am in love with LA. The diversity, freedom and individuality of the city reflect the different women who define Versace today," said Donatella Versace in a news release.

These inspirations are interpreted with a multitude of materials and textures in the collection, from black fabric, jersey, silk and lace to studded leather and faded denim.

As for prints, Versace favored pinstripes for this collection, seen on a black coat, a double-breasted pant suit, crop tops, skirts and lace dresses. Tropical motifs were also a theme, seen embroidered on faded denim.

Studs were noticeably present in the collection too, embellishing a coat, a black leather mini dress and several pairs of shoes.
