Here are the hottest beauty looks modelled on the autumn/winter 2016 runways.

On the look out for what are the best beauty trends that rule the autumm/winter 2016 shows? Well, one thing is certain  next season is not the time to be shy, particularly when it comes to eye makeup. From the thick, smudged, winged eyeliner at Saint Laurent that covered the lids and flicked up towards the temple to the dark shadow covering the whole eye socket at Sacai, and a similar look at Elie Saab, it’s clear that the grungy urban look isn't exiting soon. To pull all the attention to the eyes, designers had left the rest of the face clean.

It wasn’t all about the darkness, however — Stella McCartney used luminescent shadow at the inner corners of the models’ eyes to make them pop, while Giambattista Valli sent model Gigi Hadid down the runway with subtly sparkling brows. Meanwhile, Givenchy totally bleached them out — another growing trend — and let the models’ smoky, autumnal eyeshadows do the talking. Chanel’s eye makeup reached the brow bone and was lightly latticed, echoing the house's famous quilting technique.

Some designers opted for an alternative focal point, with Vivienne Westwood tapping into the glam-Goth undercurrent running through fashion right now with a black lacquered lip. Dior also debuted a similar look during its show last week, and at Louis Vuitton, the dark ruby hue gave the trend a softer look.
