Pierre Ip And Dawn Koh’s Fashion Diary At Prada's Spring/Summer 2020 Menswear Show

The Tatler Scions were invited by the megabrand to Shanghai

A 80,000-ton silo warehouse of Minsheng Wharf in Shanghai was transformed into a runway, a dinner space, performance labyrinth and a club for the Prada Spring/Summer 2020 menswear show. Tatler Scions Dawn Koh and Pierre Ip were invited to attend this exclusive party, and report:

Above "Arrived into Shanghai. Beautiful view from my hotel room!" – Dawn

Above “Upon arrival in my room, I was greeted by a pleasant surprise in the form of a Prada ‘care package’. Inside, I found my show invite, reading materials for our visit to Rong Zhai (a historic mansion in Shanghai that has been restored by Prada) the next day as well as several Prada products.” – Pierre

Above “Next up, we visited the Prada store at Shanghai IFC Mall where we shopped to our heart’s content.” – Pierre

Above “Opting for a more casual look when roaming the streets of Shanghai in the evening.” – Pierre

Above "Entering the building for Rong Zhai. Stunning architecture and detailing... I'm lost for words." – Dawn

Above “Rong Zhai was a visual experience as no two rooms in its multitude of rooms were the same. Each space had a story to tell in the form of artwork and interior décor which chronicles the history of both the mansion and Prada.” – Pierre

Above “I’m in Prada Fall/Winter 2019 and I chose the look because I found the combination very unique. The prints on the shirt and the skirt clash, but the corset belt pulls the the whole outfit together.” – Dawn

Above “Welcome to Prada! We’re in Silo Hall in Shanghai’s Minsheng Wharf (it used to be Shanghai's main dock for storing grain and sugar). And it’s been transformed into a fantasy playground with a crazy light installation.” – Dawn

Above “The amount of work that Prada put into transforming the Silo Hall of Minsheng Wharf was impressive. They managed to turn an abandoned and derelict place into something otherworldly with brilliant light displays and art.” – Pierre

Above “The Prada Spring/Summer 2020 Menswear collection was very wearable and many pieces caught my attention with their tan hues and practicality. It encapsulates the essence of the Linea Rossa line, which is modelled after sportswear and hence, highly functional.” – Pierre

Above “The entire collection was beyond clever. From the vibrant colour palette to the playfulness of the badges and patches. I adore the use of inventive lightweight fabric and clever layering. That is truly Prada.” – Dawn
