Wonderful news for skincare junkies: Ole Henriksen has finally arrived on our shores, thus giving us easy access to its products constantly raved about by beauty Youtubers. The Danish skincare brand is organised into four franchises that can be mixed and matched for each user’s own routine. For a start, I tried a moisturiser from The Truth Collection—which is the brand’s brightening range. It consists of skincare goodies rich in vitamin C, including the cult favourite Banana Bright Eye Creme as well as the C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme, which I tried and enjoyed. It’s light to the touch and I’ve included it in my daytime routine as its texture is thin enough for our climate yet it performs well. Next on my must-try list is The Transform Plus Collection, which aims to fight visible signs of ageing with innovative alternatives to traditional ingredients. And who wouldn’t want to maintain youthful skin, right?

The number of new eco-friendly and cruelty-free beauty brands that have launched in the past couple of years has been encouraging. I’m always up for a nice surprise in the realm of beauty and Gallinee didn’t let me down. The brand’s founder Dr Marie Drago led the way in microbiome skincare by using patented probiotics, probiotics, and lactic acid complex based on microbiology research.

While I’ve heard of this up-and-coming French skincare brand, I haven’t tried anything by them until now. I have been using one of its hero products, the Face Vinegar Toner, and so far it has lived up to expectations. It contains hibiscus vinegar for exfoliation and soothing purposes as well as algae probiotics, which act against signs of stress on the skin. Using products that contain probiotics, probiotics and postbiotics ensure that beneficial bacteria remain intact and the skin is protected from free radicals and oxidative stress.

You can't talk about cleansing balms without the cult favourite cleanser by Eve Lom. In fact, it is considered one of the OG cleansing balms out there since it made its debut 29 years ago.
