The High Street Brands Fit For Royalty
L.K. Bennett counts amongst the Duchess of Cambridge’s go-to brands for accessories, footwear and dresses. The high-street store’s Lasa Poppy print dress worn by Kate Middleton in 2014 on a trip to Brisbane is perhaps one of her most iconic looks from the label, selling out quickly online. Kate wore the dress again on a visit to Youthscape in Luton last year. On both occasions, Kate let the prints take spotlight, styling the dress with a blue clutch and navy pumps in 2014, and a nude clutch and heels from the label in 2016.
While The Duchess’ younger sister did not marry into blue blood, she received the courtesy title of Mrs. Matthews of Glen Affric the younger following her marriage to hedge fund manager James Matthew. Like Kate, Pippa Middleton has mastered the art of high-street styling, though she has a preference for casual chic looks. The younger Middleton was seen stepping out in a Maje Rafina poplin shirt dress on her honeymoon in Australia. She completed the summery look with espadrilles from Castaner, and a straw tote by SensiStudio.
Line the Label
Meghan Markle may not be a royal yet, but she will likely be receiving the title of Duchess after her marriage to Prince Harry in spring next year. When she stepped out with her Prince Charming to announce their engagement in a white coat from Line the Label, the crowd was sold—crashing the Canadian brand's website within moments. The Suits actress took a style cue from her future-in-law Kate, layering the coat over a green dress from Italian brand P.A.R.O.S.H and completing the look with a pair of 'Matilde' heels by Aquazurra.
High street favourite Zara was Princess Beatrice's outfit of choice at the relaunch of art and fashion blog Minnie Muse. The royal styled her crane-print sashed blazer over a chic black dress, accessorising with a grey velvet clutch embroidered with 'B' for a personal touch. Zara appears to be amongst the elder York sister's favourite high street brands, along with ASOS and Topshop.
What do you wear when you accidentally crash a wedding party? An Ikat drape shirt dress from UK label Whistles, of course, if you're anything like Princess Eugenie. The young royal was chic and polished in the printed silk number, paired with a pair of red pumps, when she was stopped by a newly-wed couple in Maidstone, Kent for a photo. After mingling with guests in good cheer, she moved on to her official appointment at a graduation ceremony.
