The former EXO member joins forces with Christopher Bailey to recreate iconic Burberry pieces.
Former EXO member turned chart-topping rapper Kris Wu continues his longstanding relationship with British luxury brand Burberry with a 19-piece collection based on his own personal style. Created and curated together with the brand's creative director Christopher Bailey, the collection launches on the 16th December, just in time for Christmas.
An ambassador of the brand since 2016, the items in the collection are mostly classic Burberry cuts reimagined in Kris Wu’s personal style—and we mean really personal. The classic Burberry trench coat has been emblazoned with prints of Kris' own tattoos, while other items come embroidered with his song lyrics, making it the perfect gift for any of his fans. His personal preference for boxier cuts were also reflected in the collection and featured vintage check cotton shirts and printed t-shirts that came in oversized shapes. Other items included classic leather biker jackets, a single-breasted car coat that comes in a weatherproof gabardine woven at the Burberry Mill in Yorkshire, England, as well as an assortment of graphic motif sweatshirts, leather baseball caps and rucksacks.
Kris was so inspired by the collection that he even recorded specially about the collection. "It has been a special experience working with Christopher Bailey on this collection, which integrates my personal style into classic Burberry pieces. I was so inspired by the spirit, forward-thinking attitude and heritage of Burberry that I wrote and recorded a new hip-hop track called "B.M" which encapsulates my experience with the fashion house."
The Burberry x Kris Wu collection will be available exclusively at the ION Orchard store and globally on Burberry.com from 16th December onwards with new additions set to be introduced in January 2018.
