We round up the beauty launches of the month that we are most excited about

There may not be winter in tropical Singapore, but that doesn't mean we should neglect the importance of keeping our skin moisturised. This month, we round up a collection of new hydrating and nourishing beauty products that not only pamper your skin, but also areas you tend to neglect—like your scalp and vulva.

1/12 Shu Uemura x Pokémon

Pikachu turns into Pikashu for this Christmas collaboration. And isn’t Pikashu the most adorable name? It isn’t just pun-worthy, it describes the collection perfectly too: “pika” stands for electric sounds in Japanese, and of course “shu” represents the well-loved Japanese brand. The limited-edition collaboration includes bestsellers like the ultime8 sublime beauty cleansing oil, rouge unlimited lipsticks, and even an electric gold-edition eyelash curler. Our favourite item from the range? The Pikashu plush, which has only five pieces available in Singapore.

The Pikashu plush is available exclusively at the Shu Uemura flagship store at ION Orchard and at the Bugis boutique, and only available when purchased with the entire Pikashu collection.

2/12 Chantecaille Real Skin+ Eye and Face Stick

Perfect for women on the go, Chantecaille’s Real Skin+ Eye and Face Stick is a multi-tasker—use it as a complexion perfector, undereye concealer, or a quick and precise spot treatment. Packaged in a sleek and portable metallic case, the concealer stick is the size of a lipstick, allowing you to easily carry it in your purse or pocket. Don’t let the stick formula put you off—the texture is, in fact, lightweight and creamy with buildable coverage for a natural finish. It is also infused with hydrating raspberry stem cell and hibiscus extract for added anti-ageing benefits.

Available at Takashimaya.

3/12 Sothys Detox Energie Energizing Serum

A anti-pollution skin solution for city-dwellers, French beauty brand Sothys’ new Detox Energie line is developed to reduce the impact of pollution on skin. Key active ingredients include organic elderberry extract, peptides and organic Siberian ginseng root extract, which help to detoxify and energise the skin. The lightweight Energizing Serum is formulated with yeast isolated from saguaro cactus and grafted glycolic acid to give tired and dull skin a radiant boost.

Available at all Sothys outlets.

4/12 Eve Lom Cleansing Oil Capsules

A potent cocktail of cleansing oils that include Abyssinian oil, grape seed oil, camelina oil and Eve Lom’s signature blend of botanical oils, Eve Lom’s Cleansing Oil Capsules dissolve debris and impurities on your skin, leaving it hydrated for up to 12 hours. Conveniently packaged in individual vegetable-based capsules that are 100 per cent biodegradable, it’s the perfect solution for jet-setters. A compact, 14-day travel case is also available separately.

Available at Escentials, Sephora, Tangs, and Robinsons.

5/12 3Lab Oil Complex Brightening

Infused with an anti-oxidant oil complex and brightening peptides, 3Lab’s Oil Complex Brightening is a lightweight moisturiser which repairs sun-damaged skin and improves the appearance of uneven skin tone and pigmentation. Formulated with tsubaki oil, chia seed oil, vitamin E and vitamin C, the brightening cream also boasts four different molecular sizes of hyaluronic acid to penetrate each layer of your skin.

Making its first foray into oral supplements, Phs Hairscience’s new Nutri-Hair collection targets scalp and hair concerns from the inside out with the Healthy Hair Booster and Happy Hair Hormones. The former is a multivitamin supplement that includes vitamin B7, chia seed, tamarind, gingko and cinnamon to improve and maintain scalp health while strengthening hair follicles, while the latter is a potent formula that targets hair loss and scalp irritation with pomegranate concentrate, ellagic acid, and vitamins D, E, B6 and zinc. Both supplements come in a pocket-sized sachet with a jelly texture.

7/12 By Terry Hyaluronic Tinted Hydra-Powder

By Terry’s best-selling Hydra-Powder now comes with eight tinted shades to choose from. Known for its mattifying yet hydrating formula, the new Tinted Hydra-Powder will boast the same plumping and blurring finish while offering a luminous matte coverage to colour correct your complexion. Hydrophobic premium pigments have also been added to the powder for a water-resistant, long-lasting finish.

8/12 Alche{me} Personalised Moisturiser

With the launch of a new custom lab at Naiise Iconic in Jewel Changi Airport this year, bespoke skincare brand Alche{me} now offers face-to-face consultations for beauty lovers to personalise their eye serum, serum, or moisturiser on site. 10/12 Two L(i)ps Bumpps

Created to revolutionise intimate care, local brand Two L(i)ps celebrates its first anniversary with the launch of Bumpps, a sebum-control serum that address folliculitis—itchy, swollen and red bumps that appear when hair follicles are inflamed. Best used after your Brazillian wax to soothe irritated skin, the liquid solution is formulated with arrowroot extract, chamomile extract, and tea tree oil for their anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. You can even use it on your face to control oily T-zone and reduce the appearance of blackheads.

Available at all Strip outlets and online.

11/12 Act + Acre

There are two rules to this three-step hair care system, created by Helen Reavey, who is also hairstylist to celebrities like Alicia Keys and Harry Styles: first, always double-cleanse your hair; and second, detox your scalp weekly. Thoroughly modern in its methods and endeavour, Act + Acre is the world’s first cold-processed haircare range (for better hair and scalp health) and is more environmentally sustainable as well. The formulas are vegan and free of common irritants such as silicone, sulphate, paraben and gluten, while the bottles are made from PETG1, the most recyclable form of plastic.

Available at Sephora.

12/12 ByNacht

If sleep is a luxury for you, then perhaps ByNacht is a skincare range you should look into. Borne out sleepless nights, this German brand by Jessica Hoyer was created with consultation from an aromatherapist (the founder’s mother and creator of their signature Sleeping Balm) and dermatologists, neurologists as well as a sleep expert, Rebecca Robbins, a leading expert in the field of sleep. Considering that Singaporeans are amongst the most sleep-deprived in the world, this might be the key to making beauty sleep a reality.
