Additional reporting by Andrea Saadan
It appears that the beauty industry is experiencing a wave of reformulations. With icons like Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Multi-Recovery Complex and Sulwhasoo's First Care Activating Serum launching their next-generation products in the past months, we are observing plenty more new-and-improved launches from some of our favourite brands this coming month—namely Dior Prestige, La Prairie, La Mer and Hera. Base make-up is also in the spotlight, with primers, foundations, and cushions promising a long-lasting, radiant complexion.
There's also breaking news: Byredo opens its first standalone boutique in Singapore, readying themselves to launch their makeup range that will arrive next month.
Read on for the latest products to try in September 2020.

Ultra-cool Swedish brand Byredo—known for their cult luxury perfumes—has opened a standalone boutique this September and will also be launching their first-ever makeup line in October. Collaborating with makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, Byredo's makeup range is based on three key areas and housed in luxurious, sensorial curvilinear casing.
Firstly the eyes, featuring liquid eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow compacts with intense, easy-to-blend textures and bold hues, and of course, just look at that unforgettable gold eyeshadow case which gave us goosebumps. The lip products include lip balms and lipsticks in 15 shades, and there's also Byredo makeup’s ultimate multi-use universal product, the Colour Stick which can be worn however one would like: be it on the eyes, lips or cheeks. Byredo calls their beauty items an “everyday extravagance” and it can’t be more spot on.

5/15 Sisley Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age La Cure
Inspired by the findings on autophagy (the body’s natural process of clearing damaged cells to produce new, healthy cells) from the 2016 Nobel Prize for Medicine, Sisley has created a new anti-ageing care programme capable of reactivating the cells’ vital energy to combat the effects of time. The brand’s researchers took five years to develop the Sisleÿa L’Integral Anti-Age La Cure, on top of the 15 years it took to establish the L’Integral line.
The special treatment pack contains four vials—each one to be used fully for a week—and is meant to replace one’s entire skincare routine for a month. This length of time was determined because it’s exactly the period needed to unlock the cell’s mechanisms to renew the skin, so it feels like an extended facial done in the comfort of your own abode.

To promote a healthy ecosystem for good bacteria to thrive and remove acne- or inflammation-causing bad bacteria, the new Cell Essence Biome Plus features probiotic Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate from green tea, and prebiotics Raffinose and Xylitol cpx, which work together to nourish and strengthen the skin’s barrier.
