For the first time ever, Netflix will be partnering with fashion brand Halston to produce and sell the gowns from its miniseries
Is Netflix breaking into high fashion? It's a natural extension of the show, whose executive producer Ryan Murphy and costume designer Jeriana San Juan reached out to the brand before filming to access their archive. Their purpose was to “celebrate the iconic pieces and fabrics that were part of [Halston’s] DNA,” San Juan told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview. And the end result—with its depiction of Halston's revolutionary design forays with batik, tie dye, Ultrasuede and ’70s glamour—was absolutely stunning.
