Montblanc will be launching their first smartwatch in May, in collaboration with tech giant Google.

The claims? It’s the first high-end smartwatch that uses state-of-the-art-technology combined with premium materials.

Available in seven variations, it aims to be the perfect digital companion for the modern global native. It pairs well with the Android WearTM 2.0 operating system for smartwatches.

Key features include a full round touch-screen display, heart-rate monitor, barometer and a 4GB Flash storage that can be used to sync and play music without the need of a smartphone—all connected via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The watches also come pre-installed with apps including Runtastic, Google Play, Google Assistant, Uber and Foursquare.

The Montblanc Summit smartwatches are all housed within a 46mm case in stainless steel or grade 5 Titanium, coupled with a selection of sporty and classic straps in rubber or handcrafted calfskin leather—in a range of colours including black, brown, green and deep blue.

Montblanc’s managing director, Toby Bateman, said: “This partnership sees Montblanc’s luxury collections on Mr Porter extend from writing instruments, leather goods and accessories, into our growing Fine Watch category—providing our customers with a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and digital innovation.”

The Summit Collection will available to purchase in stores from May 1.
