The Met Gala at its finest

Every year, on the first Monday in May, celebrities and who's who in fashion arrive at the Met Gala in their fashionable best (by that, we mean the most over-the-top interpretations of the event's theme).

None of that can beat this year's theme however, which is basically the embodiment of everything the Met Gala has come to stand for—"Camp: Notes on Fashion", inspired by photographer Susan Sontag's 1964 essay, Notes on Camp, in which she described the culture as a "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration".

And that is exactly what we saw on the pink carpet this year, which, if we may admit, was a whole lot of fun. From chandeliers to Disney princess, here are the 'campiest' outfits at the Met Gala 2019.
