As well as its many headline-grabbing outfits, the 2017 Met Gala in New York also set the stage for some stunning beauty looks.

Glamour was the name of the game for most of the fashion icons and stars that walked the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with plenty of smoky eyes spotted at the event. Others, however, stepped out with subtler, almost natural looks, or experimented with eccentric makeup.
