It comes in the lushest of leather.

Before Louis Vuitton started creating trunks in 1854, he practiced his trade as a box maker for a workshop along Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. Through his apprenticeship, he honed his design for the trunks he later became famous for. Sturdy, lightweight and air-tight, the flat-bottomed trunks stacked easily and were ideal for long voyages.

So, it's no surprise that when it comes to travel, the French fashion house is ace at creating accessories that are both practical and luxurious. Leather features heavily in many Louis Vuitton creations—from bags, shoes to furniture—so it was only natural that it would be the star of their latest range of travel cases for the Louis Vuitton Les Parfums.

"Before I even arrived at Louis Vuitton I knew that leather would figure in the perfumes I created. As a perfumer I have always been fascinated by leather, by its hold on the imagination and its sway over the senses,"  explains Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. "All of these elements are extraordinary sources of inspiration. We have not yet heard leather’s last word in perfume-making. The story has just begun."

Take a quick peek at the creation process:

Gently encasing the perfumes like a second skin, these leather travel cases are available in four different sizes—7.5ml, 100ml, 200ml and flaconnier.  Want a unique piece? You may also customise them instore by opting for your initials to be hot stamped on.
