Society Friends Dazzle In Outstanding Jewellery Designs From JeweLuxe 2019
JeweLuxe, which has quickly become Southeast Asia’s biggest jewels and time festival since its inaugural launch in 2017, returned for its third instalment last month to the anticipation of jewellery and watch collectors.
Taking place at Ngee Ann City’s Civic Plaza over the course of 10 days, the event brought on more than 80 exhibitors to showcase their dazzling creations, which were estimated to be worth over US$150 million.
With the theme "Inspire, Indulge and Invest", this year’s lineup looked towards independent jewellery houses, designers, and watchmakers from around the world, some of which made their Asian debut at the event.
Jewellery aficionados like Serene Chua, Tan Min-Li, Iroshini Chua, Jade Kua, Joy Tan, Ho Ching Lin, Dolly Cheong, Frances Low, Larissa Tan, Alicia Thian, Judy Hunt, Nmita Doak, Nina Ng and Rasina Rubin were invited to walk the runway, draped in sparklers from Qayten, The Jewel Box, and more, as part of a fashion showcase.
As part of the JeweLuxe 2019 Culture Club, which brings together Singapore’s community of collectors and enthusiasts in support of the craftsmanship and talent of independent jewellery creators, 14 society friends—some accompanied by their daughters—were also invited to an exclusive photoshoot featuring iconic designs from world-class brands and designers. Dressed by Anne Fontaine and photographed by Natsuko Teruya, the ladies of the JeweLuxe Culture Club tell us why they have personally selected these jewellery pieces.
