Celebrities such as Jisoo, Jackson Wang and Paul Mescal joined in the celebrations that took place across three cities: New York, London and Paris

The seemingly simple design of three intertwined bands was first imagined by Louis Cartier, the oldest of the three Cartier brothers, in 1924. Since the birth of Trinity, its story and meaning have resonated deeply with Cartier’s values and rich history.

Crafted in yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold, the three rings of a Trinity creation twirl around each other to symbolise the three Cartier brothers, Louis, Pierre, and Jacques; the three historic Cartier boutiques in Paris, London and New York; as well as the maison’s values like diversity and love in its myriad forms.

This year, Cartier commemorates the 100th anniversary of the icon and the maison has not only introduced new creations to the timeless collection but also kicked the celebrations off with a bang—in the form of three spectacular events across the globe.

To mark Trinity’s centenary, Cartier orchestrated three exclusive events across the capitals where the Cartier brothers once established their legacy: Paris, London, and New York. Starting from the prestigious halls of New York’s Chelsea Hotel on February 1 to the grandeur of London’s Ladbroke Hall on February 5, and finally, Petit Palais in Paris on February 7, notable names from across the globe gathered to celebrate Trinity's enduring allure.

The evening in Paris was the culmination of the celebrations and saw an incredible star-studded guest list including Cartier’s Trinity ambassadors Jisoo, Jackson Wang, and Labrinth. Global ambassadors and friends of the maison like actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Rami Malek, Paul Mescal and Monica Bellucci, acclaimed filmmakers Sofia Coppola and Nadine Labaki, rising stars Emma Corrin, Manu Rios, and Emma Chamberlain, as well as international talents like Úrsula Corberó, Sophie Wilde, Jeff Satur and Kimberley Anne Woltemas were also present for the glamorous event.

Renowned artists Sia, Labrinth, and Diplo, along with dance collective La Horde, kept guests entertained through the evening with their performances. Guests also had the exclusive opportunity to explore the new Trinity creations in a bespoke pop-up space in the Marais district, where they also enjoyed Trinity-inspired sweet treats crafted by renowned pastry chef Cédric Grolet.

The maison has also added new twists to the Trinity collection this year by reimagining past creations as well as unveiling brand new designs.

Given the grand scale of this 100th anniversary, it seems natural that Cartier has also gone big with the jewellery. The maison has reissued the cult Trinity bracelet from the 2000s in a maximalist XL version bracelet, as well as an XL version of the Trinity ring.

A new shape has also been introduced to the collection. Trinity is now available in a cushion-shaped version, with rings that slide over and under each other with the same ease as the round version. This new design comes in classic and large rings made in gold or in gold with diamonds, a bracelet and a pendant.

Finally, from March 2024, Cartier will also launch another new way to wear the beloved icon with a modular version of the Trinity that can be worn as one wide, large band, or as three separate ones.
