Which Of Jaeger-LeCoultre 2019 Novelties Caught Our Eyes?
While Jaeger-LeCoultre may be known for ultra-complicated showpieces like its Gyrotourbillons, it’s really its classics that leave the most lasting impressions. This year’s new launches from the watchmaker include quite a few of the latter and here are the three standouts that have captured our attention.
1/3 Master Ultra Thin Enamel Limited Editions
The Master Ultra Thin range welcomed three beautiful blue-toned additions this year: the Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Enamel, Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel and Master Ultra Thin Moon Enamel. As indicated by their names, this trio of watches all sport enamel dials in an elegant greenish-blue that is further enhanced by a guillochéd sunray motif.
All three have 18K white gold cases and are limited editions—50 pieces of the tourbillon and 100 pieces of each of the other two new models have been exclusively produced. Sophisticated aesthetics aren’t all that are unique about this special-edition trilogy—the watches boast improved movements too, as compared to their regular counterparts from the Master Ultra Thin series.
2/3 Reverso Tribute Small Seconds in Burgundy
It might surprise those, who are in love with the Reverso’s classic good looks that the watch was, in fact, designed as a sports watch intended for wearing on the polo field. That explains why fitting this Reverso Small Seconds with a Casa Fagliano strap, made by the famed Argentine maker of the world’s finest polo boots, is such an apt way of referencing the watch’s roots. The rich burgundy colour of the strap and dial adds to its unique appeal, making it one of the most attractive Reversos in our book.
3/3 Dazzling Rendez-Vous Moon
There’s no better way to decorate a moonphase watch for ladies than to encrust its surface with sparkling diamonds. It’s as if the moon and the stars are brought together on the wrist, enchanting the wearer and everyone around her with their spell-binding gleam. This exquisite masterpiece is a testament to Jaeger LeCoultre’s gem-setting expertise and its inimitable flair for classic elegance—the kind that is increasingly harder to come by these days.
