The two brands showcase their take on athleisure with this playful collection that reminds us of what we need during a pandemic: good vibes only

Additional reporting by Andrea Saadan.

Bella Hadid, Ashley Graham, Lucky Blue Smith and more have joined a new basketball team and we want to be part of it too. Fortunately for us, the b-ball team was formed just to launch the all-new Hugo Boss x Russell Athletic collection.

Hugo Boss unveiled its new and exciting athletic collaboration on March 24 with a fun-filled basketball-inspired film, done to the sound of classic hip-hop track Jump Around by House of Pain.

Drawing on both brands’ archives, the collection of off-court classics includes many unisex styles and features a retro-inspired Boss x Russell Athletic logo.

The ready-to-wear pieces include hoodies, blazers, button-down jackets, sweatshirts, sweatpants, trainers, bucket hats and more in a variety of versatile colours such as grey, navy and our favourite: pastel pink. In fact, the pastel pink loose blazer with matching pants would be the perfect look if you'd like to imagine being at the NBA Draft—because even if you don't get picked, you'd walk away as the most stylish.

As for the film, it takes place in a locker room and on a basketball court while telling the story of a basketball squad that celebrated their win and becoming the season's champions. It featured star-studded appearances by the aforementioned models as well as Precious Lee, Keith Powers, and more.

The famous faces danced, partied and had a great time on camera together while donning the new Boss x Russell Athletic collection, a collaborative work of two innovators who wanted to fuse the art of tailoring with storytelling in fashion. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film was produced in New York in accordance with all applicable hygiene rules and regulations.
