Favourite place to travel?
June Goh-Rin (JGR) That’s a tough question because I have so many favourites from ski destinations to mountain resorts. My husband is a wine aficionado, so if I had to choose one, I’d say we are a little more partial to the wine region of Rioja in Spain, which is outstanding! Our favourite hotel whenever we visit is the Marques di Riscal.

Your holiday style is…
JGR Casual, relaxed and comfortable. I keep the colour palette basic so it is easy to coordinate and toss my pieces together while still looking chic.

What is your travel beauty routine?
JGR That depends on the destination I’m going to and its climate. Generally, a good sunscreen, protective moisturiser and lip balm are must haves. A rejuvenating face mask to tide me over the long flight is good to have too.

The three things you can’t travel without…
JGR Mascara, eyebrow pencil and lipgloss

Your top travel tips?
1. My husband and I are real foodies so we always do our homework on the restaurants to go to before our trip. Generally, the popular ones have to be booked a month ahead!
2. Packing for the trip requires some thought too, because I like to travel light. Check the climate and temperature and decide on the activities you are going to be doing.
3. Shopping is another one of my guilty indulgences. I like to buy local craft and produce so I read up on the best things to buy from every destination—like olive oils, wines, and fabric from India, and  semiprecious stones and pearls from the Philippines and China.

Paige Parker

Favourite place to travel?
(Paige Parker) PP Picking just one destination is super tough, like choosing a favourite child! But my go-to for a quick, yet rewarding escape has to be The Sanchaya in Bintan. It’s a place where I can dash with friends or family to connect and rejuvenate in a tranquil, albeit luxurious setting—taking walks on the beach, swimming laps in the 50-metre infinity pool, or de-stressing in the Balinese-inspired spa.

Your holiday style is…
PP The location and holiday agenda decree my style. If it’s The Sanchaya, then I include swim suits, caftans, flowy dresses for casual afternoons, and more dramatic pieces for dinner. I don’t overdo with too many frou-frou pieces, because these getaways call for mindfulness and restoration, not swanky over-the-top fashion.

What is your travel beauty routine?
PP Again, location is paramount: if it’s to The Sanchaya or another beach destination, then I always like to take a magic jar of Tata Harper purifying mask, which makes my skin feel so good before I sleep.

I also carry along the super effective Dr Sebagh Supreme Maintenance Youth Serum, as well as Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Calming Serum, which is a new favourite of mine. It’s ideal for overexposure to the sun, pollution, air conditioning, jet lag, and sleep loss. And of course, sunscreen for my face and body.

The three things you can’t travel without…
PP If I’m headed for an island vacation: scarf, you never know when you’ll face an over air-conditioned ferry cabin or a strong night breeze on the beach; a hat, to shield from the sun and cover bad hair; and a lip balm.

Your top travel tips?
1. Always use no-fee bank cards so you don’t face hefty foreign transaction fees when you’re home from the holiday.
2. Get lost on purpose. Unexpected adventures await!
3. Don’t be afraid to haggle. It’s a playful way to negotiate down from the inflated tourist rate, but obviously always be respectful.

Iroshini Chua

Doctor, jewellery designer, and co-founder of Kevin Chua Aesthetics

Favourite place to travel?
Iroshini Chua (IC) The continent of South America that demands nothing less than being completely immersed in its colours, culture, tastes and sights is my favourite travel destination.

Hiking in the remote Atacama desert in Chile at sunset, riding with the Gauchos among snow-capped peaks in the Argentine Patagonia, savouring its flavours in Peru and dancing like no one is watching to the tune of the Samba in Brazil are some of my favourite experiences in the region.

Your holiday style is…
IC Chic, glamourous yet comfortable. My go to for beachwear is a Camilla playsuit because I like the way the crystal workings glitter in the sun. I pack a long dress or gown just in case I feel like injecting some glamour to my vacation—I have taken to the sand dunes once in Oscar De La Renta much to my husbands’ amusement! #YOLO

What is your travel beauty routine?
IC Sun block is my best friend when it comes to my beauty regime, and my sun block is by Kevin Chua Aesthetics. Having chapped lips due to the cold temperature or high altitude is no fun so I start to apply lip balm as soon as I board my flight. I prevent clogging the pores in the sun and avoid foundation to let my skin breath. However, I am all for pretty eyes and sun-kissed lips from Charlotte Tilbury’s The Golden Goddess beauty set.

IC A ridiculously large hat to avoid direct sunlight, a photocopy of my passport, an electronic version of my bible.

Your top travel tips?
1. Researching and planning ahead when it comes to meals and activities is wise so you don’t waste your calories on a bad meal or your energy on an activity that is not your cup of tea. As much as I enjoy planning it all—down to my gelato at 3pm—I leave space in my itinerary for the recommendations by the locals once I get to my destination.
2. Pre-departure vaccinations and travel medications are highly recommended.
3. Sticking to a colour palette allows you to easily mix and match outfits without over-packing and makes space for souvenir-shopping and the likes on holiday.

This season, perfect your holiday style at the Jet-a-porter vacation shop, meticulously curated for your summer wardrobe.
