Kicking off June is month-long celebration of Pride, with Michael Kors, Versace and many more brands set to release exclusive capsules in support of LGBTQIA+ communities. But that’s not forgetting the many exciting new launches that are heading to stores as well this month: summer-ready capsules like Dior’s Dioriviera collection are making their retail debut, while collaborations like Supreme x Emilio Pucci—an unlikely partnership, if there ever was one—is set to drop later this month. DIOR’S MINI BAGS ARE OUR LATEST OBSESSION

Who: Dior

What: Launch of their new Micro-bags

Why: Remember when we told you small bags are here to stay? Dior is taking the trend one step further with their new range of adorable micro-bags. Scaling down house classics such as the Lady Dior, 30 Montaigne, Dior Caro, and Saddle, the French luxury house is bringing arm candy a whole new meaning. These micro versions have all the trappings of their larger counterparts, and, what's more, the house's iconic cannage motif has been given an extra dose of cute with a reinterpretation of the quilting technique to make hearts in the design.

VALENTINO LAUNCHES MEN’S FALL 2021

Who: Valentino

What: Fall 2021 collection

Why: Valentino has launched its men’s Fall 2021 collection with a range of delectable new accessories. With a white-on-white palette, the brand gives its camouflage motif a summery update on hoodies, anoraks, bermudas and shirts, as well as an introduction into the Atelier Valentino Garavani line through new totes and sneakers in both low-mid top style.

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN JOINS FORCES WITH IDRIS AND SABRINA ELBA

Who: Christian Louboutin and Idris and Sabrina Elba

What: “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” capsule collection

Why: The Elbas have partnered with the luxury shoe label on a new capsule collection. Inspired by Dr Martin Luther King, Jr’s famous phrase, the collection aims to bring more awareness to the victims of oppression around the world. The collection will feature sneakers and pumps, as well as a tote bag, with the plant Strelitzia reginae or “Mandela’s Gold” motif as well as the phrase “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” inscribed. One hundred per cent of the proceeds will go towards five non- profit organisations.

ANOTHERSOLE LAUNCHES SUMMER COLLECTION

Who: Anothersole

What: Limited edition Summer collection

Why: Singaporean shoe label has dropped its limited edition Summer collection, featuring their whimsical illustrations such as dreamy palm trees, diving into the ocean, and other summery motifs. The brand has also recently revamped its website, with added search functions—you can now search by colour, range, style and size—and limited edition drops as well.

FERRAGAMO LAUNCHES NEW CAPSULE SHOE COLLECTION

Who: Salvatore Ferragamo

What: Launch of the new ‘Let’s Dance’ capsule collection

Why: Comfort is increasingly the standard by which we gauge our wardrobe choices, and Salvatore Ferragamo is responding to this shift with the launch of its new ‘Let’s Dance’ capsule collection.

The new range includes: ballet flats; an ultra-soft, lightweight nappa leather lace-up; a Gancini moccasin in nappa leather; a sandal with refracted high heel, inspired by an archival model; a pump with chunky heel and laser-cut upper; and a nappa leather soft boot with refracted block heel.

As the accompanying short film—directed by American director Danielle Lessovitz and starring contemporary dancers Anita Lorusso, Naomi Weijand and Tania Dimbelolo—proves, these definitely are shoes you can move in.

When: Available from mid-June in Ferragamo boutiques.

AMAN INTRODUCES NEW FASHION LINE

Who: Aman

What: Launch of The Essentials by Aman, a new fashion and accessories collection

Why: Renowned for their hotels and resorts in some of the world's most stunning destinations, Aman has announced the next step in their plan to take their brand beyond just hospitality. The Essentials by Aman is a breezy new line of activewear, loungewear, knitwear, swimwear, resort wear and soft accessories that draws its inspiration from some of Aman's most stunning locations.

LONGCHAMP CELEBRATES PRIDE WITH NEW BAG

Who: Longchamp

What: Launch of exclusive Le Pliage bag for Pride

Why: The French fashion brand is commemorating Pride month with a special edition of the iconic Le Pliage bag. The dark grey bag is made from recycled polyester, and features an oversized version of the brand's horse-and-rider logo embroidered in the rainbow colours of the Pride flag. Eco-friendly and for a good cause? Now that's something we can get behind. Although the bag comes in two sizes, only the travel size will be available in Singapore.

BULGARI STEPS INTO SUMMER WITH THEIR RESORT COLLECTION

Who: Bulgari

What: Launch of the Bulgari resort collection

Why: The Roman house is launching a new collection of bags and accessories with all the chic, refined sensibilities that they are known for. Raffia is the main material of the season—as seen on the brand's Serpenti Diamond Blast bag and the Bulgari Logo bag.

What's more, Mary Katrantzou's exclusively designed Canvas Tote bag, with a burst of vibrant butterflies in red or blue juxtaposed against the house's iconic serpent, will be launched together with the resort collection.

COACH DEBUTS VIRTUAL CONCERT WITH DEF JAM SEA

Who: Coach

What: A virtual concert with Def Jam SEA featuring Yung Raja, Joe Flizzow, Daboyway and Rayi Putra

Why: Bringing together Coach’s love of pop culture, music and fashion, the Coach x Def Jam SEA Virtual Concert Experience is a one-of-a-kind entertainment extravaganza starring musicians such as Yung Raja, Joe Flizzow, Daboyway, Rayi Putra, Fariz Jabba, Alyph and more. It’s the first-ever concert that Coach is putting on in Southeast Asia (it will be aired in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia), so it’s set to be a history-making session.

BRB, HEADING TO THE DIORIVIERA

Who: Dior

What: Launch of the Dioriviera capsule collection

Why: Trust Maria Grazia Chiuri to come up with the perfect summer capsule. For her latest Dioriviera collection, the designer refreshed the house's iconic Toile de Jouy print in luscious raspberry and citrusy chartreuse for both ready-to-wear pieces and a selection of bags such as the Book Tote, Lady D-Lite and the Dior Caro. 

In addition to the ready-to-wear capsule, the brand is also releasing an exclusive collection of summer essentials for the home and the outdoors, such as surfboards, parasols, hammocks and cushions.

SUPREME AND EMILIO PUCCI TEAM UP

What: Collaboration with Emilio Pucci

Why: Eagle-eyed fans would have noticed the rumours of a possible collaboration between the two brands floating around on social media weeks ago, but it's finally official: Supreme and Emilio Pucci have collaborated on a capsule collection. The surprising partnership has produced a—dare we say?—covetable line of hoodies, tracksuits, shorts, T-shirts and more, reinterpreted with Pucci's instantly recognisable prints, sourced directly from the brand's archives.

VERSACE PARTNERS WITH LADY GAGA FOR PRIDE

Who: Versace

What: Collaboration with Lady Gaga in support of the Born This Way Foundation

Why: In honour of Pride month, and to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Born This Way, Lady Gaga and Donatella Versace have collaborated on a capsule collection to benefit the singer's Born This Way Foundation, a charity that focuses on mental health support for young people, especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community. “Versace has always been a leader. Since Gianni, Donatella, Allegra, and still now they have celebrated the beautiful colours of love we have within us to offer each other. We were all more different, and different is beautiful. Thank you Donatella for supporting LGBTQ+ mental health and the Born This Way tenth anniversary,” Gaga wrote on her Instagram post announcing the partnership. The collection comprises of T-shirts with the Born This Way logo and Versace's rainbow logo, as well as a beret with both insignias as well.

LOEWE PAULA’S IBIZA GETS FRUITY

Who: Loewe

What: Release of Loewe Paula’s Ibiza’s fruit-inspired capsule

Why: What's summer without the promise of juicy fruits? Loewe is dropping its fruit-inspired capsule from the Loewe Paula’s Ibiza collaboration and we can't wait to get our hands on it. The capsule contains ready-to-wear pieces with humorous graphics of summertime, tropical fruit, including watermelon, pineapple and kiwi. This has extended to the brand's leather bags and accessories as well, with mainstays such as the Puzzle being given the irreverent fruit-inspired treatment using the brand's signature leather intarsio technique to make them look like cross sections of fruit.

MICHAEL KORS LAUNCHES PRIDE 2021 COLLECTION

Who: Michael Kors

What: Launch of the Pride 2021 collection

Why: To celebrate Pride month, Michael Kors is releasing a capsule collection of shorts and sweatshirts with rainbow heart patches, along with accessories and outerwear in an all-over rainbow striped design. It will also feature a special-edition Pride T-shirt with a rainbow Michael Kors logo patch, of which the profits from the sale of this T-shirt will go towards OutRight Action International, a global human rights organisation fighting for the rights of LGBTIQ+ people around the world.
