There were some who stuck to the classics, while others experimented with fabrics, colours, and lots of feathers at the 77th Golden Globe Awards ceremony

1. Chris Evans in Isaia

While the Knives Out star wasn’t nominated for any awards this year, he was reunited with Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson as an award presenter. Chris Evans suited up in a burgundy custom corduroy Isaia suit worn with a bowtie and Montblanc cufflinks, accessorised with an Omega watch and Christian Louboutin shoes. The unexpected texture and colour is definitely a style standout amongst the gentlemen.

2. Nick Jonas in Prada

Giving his wife Priyanka Chopra’s pink Cristina Ottaviano gown the spotlight, Nick Jonas opted for an understated palette, pairing a satin double-breasted suit with a blue button-up shirt. The singer-songwriter still managed to let his sense of style shine through however, with a Western twist—a quirky bolo tie from Prada, which instantly livened up the ensemble.

3. Jason Momoa in Tom Ford and Valentino

If there’s anyone who can get away with wearing a tank top at the Golden Globes, it’s Jason Momoa. The Aquaman star arrived on the red carpet in a black tank top and Valentino pants worn with an emerald green velvet Tom Ford jacket, which was later spotted draped on his wife Lisa Bonnet—how chivalrous! He accessorised with an Art Deco-style Cartier pin and watch.

4. Brad Pitt in Brioni

Walking away with the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for his character in Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood, Brad Pitt was dapper in a three-piece Brioni suit, paired with a bow tie. Classic.

5. Rami Malek in Saint Laurent

Having won a Golden Globe Award in 2019 for his performance in Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek was nominated again this year for his leading drama, Mr. Robot. Keeping his outfit slick and modern, the actor appeared on the red carpet in a black velvet jacket and tailored pants by Saint Laurent, worn with a skinny tie as well as a watch and white gold pin by Cartier.

6. Joe Alwyn

Harriet actor Joe Alwyn stuck to the classics in a dark navy one-button suit and bow-tie. The timeless ensemble was made more interesting with contrasting black lapels and cuffs.

7. Ansel Elgort in Tom Ford

Presenting at the Golden Globe Awards, actor Ansel Elgort showed up in a custom navy velvet tuxedo, light blue tuxedo shirt, navy cummerbund, bow tie and loafers, by Tom Ford. He accessorised with a diamond butterfly brooch and 1837 square stainless steel watch by Tiffany & Co., adding an extra sparkle to his glitter eye shadow and white manicure.

8. Pierce, Dylan and Paris Brosnan

Former James Bond portrayer Pierce Brosnan’s family was out in full force at the Golden Globes. The actor went for a monochromatic ensemble in a navy textured blazer, shirt and bow-tie, while his sons Dylan and Paris, who were named Golden Globe Ambassadors, turned up in black tuxedos by Armani.

9. Billy Porter in Alex Vinash

When does Billy Porter not steal the show on the red carpet? This year, the Pose star arrived in a white silk tuxedo with an extravagant feathered train by Alex Vinash, which reportedly took three months to create. He paired it with jewellery by Tiffany & Co., custom white boots by Jimmy Choo and a Emm Kuo NY Ludlow bag embellished with Swarovski crystals. Definitely a breath of fresh air from the classic black or navy suits.

10. Roman Griffin Davis

He's not quite a man yet, but the 12-year-old star of Jojo Rabbit definitely made an impression for his red carpet debut. Roman Griffin Davis wore a burnt orange velvet tuxedo jacket with black lapels, paired with a crisp white shirt, tailored black pants and a black bow tie. We can't wait to see what the young actor will wear next.
