In celebration of the third edition of Loewe’s annual summer pop-up store in Ibiza’s Museu d’Art Contemporani (MACE)—a capsule collection with the legendary Paula's Ibiza Boutique—the Spanish house has released a specially produced track called Close to Paradise, an infectious summer tune that captures the carefree essence of the island and will transport listeners back to the wild nights of Ibiza in the seventies and eighties.
Written and produced by Soulwax, curated by prolific sound director Michel Gaubert, with album artwork created by Ill-Studio and the vinyl pressed by The Vinyl Factory, the limited edition record will be released in joint collaboration with The Vinyl Factory and Deewee, Soulwax's label with digital downloads available from August on iTunes and Spotify.
The summer pop-up will also be carrying an exclusive selection of products from the Loewe Paula's Ibiza collection. Created in collaboration with the cult boutique, the revival collection features everything you need for an island life from clothing, bags, accessories, and shoes featuring original prints and garment designs from the archive. This bohemian fantasy of a collaboration was dreamed up by Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson who came across Paula's on his many childhood trips to the island.
