This is the second change at the top that the French luxury label has announced recently.

Change has been in the air at Louis Vuitton in recent weeks. After putting streetwear specialist, Virgil Abloh, at the helm of its men's collections, the French luxury label has now signed up the renowned designer Francesca Amfitheatrof, who was born in Tokyo and trained at London's prestigious Central Saint Martins. She will oversee the label's watch and jewellery collections.

Known for her streamlined aesthetic, her creativity and her work with precious metals, Francesca Amfitheatrof recently enjoyed a high-profile stint at Tiffany & Co. After joining the firm in 2014, the designer created several collections for the brand, including "Tiffany T," before announcing her departure in 2017.

Echoing the current flux of designers in the fashion world, change also appears to be afoot in the jewellery sector. Earlier this month, Dior Homme artistic director Kim Jones recruited Yoon Ahn as Dior Homme's new jewellery designer.
