Tune in at 6pm Singapore time this Sunday, January 23, to watch the Kenzo men’s fall/winter 2022 show right here

If you’re a fan of revolutionary Japanese designer Nigo, you’re in for treat.

This Sunday, the newly appointed creative director of fashion label Kenzo will present his first collection and he’s got lots up his sleeve. Word on the street is that it will be a co-ed show, with both men’s and women’s looks presented on the runway in Paris. Location-wise, reports say that the show will be held at the historic Galerie Vivienne, a covered walkway that was first built almost 200 years ago in 1823. It’s a subtle tribute to the brand’s late founder, Kenzo Takada, who presented his first fashion show at his boutique in the Galerie Vivienne in 1970.

Of course, Nigo has hinted interviews that he will be paying tribute to Takada, whom he calls “the most high-profile and most famous alumnus of Bunka at the time”, as well as fusing it with his own inclination for streetwear. “There was no time to doubt the creative direction,” Nigo told WWD in an interview. “It was absolutely clear what needed to be done, and I’m very proud of the way that the teams have come together and understood what I want to achieve, and I’m confident in the output.”

To see what the daring designer has dreamed up for the new chapter of Kenzo, tune in at 6pm Singapore time this Sunday, January 23, to watch the Kenzo men’s fall/winter 2022 show below.
