When it was first announced that Kristen Stewart would portray the late Princess Diana in the latest biopic, Spencer, there was scepticism about how she would exude the gentle grace of the people’s princess. But in this first trailer, it’s clear from her costume, physicality and accent that she’s embodied Lady Di and can express the drama she experienced behind closed doors. We’re looking forward to the film when it is released in November.

Iris Apfel turned 100

The stylish centenarian has seen every trend come and go, but her love of bright colours and enormous eyewear is forever. The American icon worked in the textile industry for over four decades with her husband, Carl, and they focused on fabric restoration and sourcing unusual materials from Europe. Her résumé is teeming with fabulous projects: designing White House interiors for nine presidents (Truman through to Clinton), being the first non-designer to exhibit her personal style with The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and signing with IMG models at age 97.

Kanye West finally dropped Donda

After what’s felt like forever, Kanye West has finally released his tenth studio album, Donda, named after his late mother Donda West. As might be expected of the artist soon to be legally known as Ye, the album isn’t without its drama, from Kim Kardashian wearing a Balenciaga wedding dress to the final listening party despite the couple’s impending divorce, to DaBaby’s manager not clearing the track Jail pt. 2 which held up the record’s release, and just generally DaBaby and Marilyn Manson’s involvement due to their recent homophobic comments and allegations of sexual assault, respectively.

Viral eye cream sends sales soaring

A video on TikTok featuring the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX eye cream garnered plenty of attention over the weekend. User @trinidad1967 wanted to share her love of the product and demonstrated how quickly the cream worked to tighten skin. There was a very noticeable difference in her eyebags in less than three minutes, and naturally, the internet went wild for results seen sans filter or paid sponsorship. As a result of the hype, Peter Thomas Roth contacted the woman offering to send her some products as a token of thanks.

Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus are tying the knot

The long-term couple are reportedly engaged. After meeting on set in 2015 and co-starring as the romantic leads in the film Sky, they only went public with their relationship in 2017. Two years later they had a daughter together, and the family look happy in love as they share updates of their life on Instagram. The former fashion model is an ambassador for Chanel and Chaumet, so we expect her to wear something fabulous on her wedding day.
