London-based designer Olivia von Halle has been spinning glamorous loungewear out of silk since 2011. A former trend forecaster based in Shanghai for clients including Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Lamborghini, von Halle channelled her understanding of luxury into her world-renowned silk robes and sets—some complete with intricate hand-sewn embroidery—making her pieces worthy of being worn to a cocktail party. “My favourite outfit for this party season would definitely be our newly introduced cocktail pyjama, the Jagger August, from our limited-edition capsule [collection] of hand-embellished pieces,” von Halle tells Tatler. “It looks like liquid gold emblazoned with a majestic sequinned lion and it’s the most opulent and utterly fabulous look you could possibly wear. I’d pair it with matching slippers to up the no-expense-spared decadence.”

2. Bocan Couture

Hailing from generations of textile traders in Bursa, Turkey (a major silk trade hub during the Byzantine and Ottoman empires), Ayşe Bocan founded Bocan Couture with her two daughters Ecem and Melike in 2013. Since then, the family label has become known for their precious lace and silk creations favoured by royals across Europe and the Middle East. Find vibrant velvet robes in natural and certified sustainable fabric, which are handmade in the Bursa region to minimise their carbon footprint. The founders’ favourite set? “Our go-to is the beige Jemima set,” Ecem Bocan tells Tatler. “We love that it embodies a golden allure and a sense of elegance.”

3. Oséree

Oséree might have started as a lurex and lace swimwear label, but it soon evolved to become a fun and flirty brand beloved for its shimmery vacation-wear and feather-trimmed loungewear. Founded by Jannine Vinci and Isabella Cavallin (who were classmates in London’s prestigious arts school Central Saint Martins), Oséree boasts Rihanna, Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian among its loyal customers. While Cavallin is gravitating towards sparkle this season (the Black Paillettes bodysuit and trousers are her favourite), Vinci is partial to the Smoking Bodysuit. “[The brand] is all about showing off your style and embracing a modern way of dressing that is iconic and evergreen,” Vinci tells Tatler.

4. Sleeper

Founded by former Ukrainian fashion editors Katya Zubareva and Asya Varetsa in 2013, Sleeper’s feathery creations quickly found an audience among the fashion set. From billowy off-shoulder linen gowns—for which Sleeper was first known—to fur-trimmed sets and “party pyjamas”, their collections can be worn on the dancefloor and bedroom alike.

5. Sleeping with Jacques

Melbourne native Jacqui Hoang began her label, Sleeping With Jacques, to create luxury lingerie and sleepwear, but the brand’s sultry lace slip dresses and crushed velvet blazers were so beautiful that they quickly earned a place outside the bedroom. On a mission to look and do good, Sleeping With Jacques adheres to the strictest ethical and sustainable practices, from sourcing natural fibres to allocating a percentage of profits to support UN Women and the Australian NGO Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.

6. Honna

Sometimes luxury is a set of perfectly tailored, striped pyjamas. That’s the ethos behind Honna, the London-based sleepwear label by Barbara McMillan. Unable to find classic striped pyjamas with exceptional fit, the former stylist went to work to create the perfect set of oversized yet flattering pyjamas, all made from GOTS-certified organic cotton and bespoke printed in GOTS-certified dyes. “My favourite to gift and receive is the olive stripe pyjama set, which we launched this season,” McMillan tells Tatler. “It’s a fresh take on our signature stripe that feels both modern and timeless, so it makes a great gift for all ages. The colourway is polished enough for family settings, but is also perfectly understated for cosy mornings in bed.”

7. La DoubleJ

Partial to prints? La DoubleJ by former fashion editor JJ Martin is the way to go. The brand’s ebullient designs can be found across fashion and homeware, splashed out in mood-boosting hues with a vintage twist. Wind down in their whimsical loungewear from floral robes to maximalist palazzo trousers, all aptly crafted in Italy—the home of “sprezzatura” or the art of effortless dressing.
