Producers Shonda Rhimes and Chris Van Dusen understand the power of representation, and season one gave us the Zimbabwean British Regé-Jean Page as the Duke of Hastings and Guyanese British Golda Rosheuval as Queen Charlotte, among others. It’s refreshing to see people of colour hold high positions in period dramas, and season two continues to delight.
The new plot revolves around the Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his relationship with the Sharma sisters, Kate and Edwina, portrayed by the Tamil British Simone Ashley and Indian British Charithra Chandran, respectively.
