Always game to experiment with different styles, Dimple Aswani believes in having fun with fashion.

“My number one style inspiration is my mum – she always looks elegant, even at home!” shares Dimple Aswani. In fact, the peppy lady attributes her love for high fashion to her mum, and adds, “Till today, I still lust after her walk-in wardrobe of bags and shoes.”

Admitting that she’s a risk taker who loves experimenting with different hairstyles and looks, the Singapore Tatler’s Fashion Hall of Fame 2013 inductee never fails to turn heads with her avant-garde and varied sartorial choices. She’s hard pressed to name a favourite designer and says that it really depends on the occasion – Pavoni and Zuhair Murad for gala events and Erdem’s floral dresses for polo parties.

While Dimple certainly isn’t a slave to fashion trends, there are a few trends of Spring/Summer 2014 that have caught her eye – “The sheer detailing spotted on Saint Laurent’s and Reed Krakoff’s creations is an effortless look to pull off. I’m also loving the tribal prints as seen at Dior, as well as Alexander McQueen’s tribal looks – simply wow!”

Completing the petite style powerhouse’s wardrobe ensembles are of course, her favourite accessories, which include Judith Leiber’s bejewelled minaudieres and sky-high Louboutins. The bubbly mother of one admits with a laugh, ”In the words of Victoria Beckham, I can’t concentrate in flats!”

As the song goes, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” – Dimple is never seen without her diamond ring (a gift from her mum). For that extra sparkle, she looks to Van Cleef & Arpels’ Alhambra collection, renowned for its iconic lucky charm motif.
