If you’re a Singaporean who’s crazy about fast cars and cool watches, this may just be the perfect timepiece for you. Hublot has unveiled a new iteration of their signature Big Bang Ferrari watch that’s made especially for the Singapore market.

Sporting a 45.5mm black ceramic case with a crimson sapphire crystal dial, this flyback chronograph watch is a fitting tribute to our Little Red Dot, where the pace of life can be dizzyingly fast. What’s more, its sporty accents are simultaneously stunning and functional: the Schedoni-leather-on-rubber strap fuses the luxurious texture of calfskin with the practicality of rubber.

Besides pleasing patriotic Singaporeans, this watch will no doubt put a smile on the faces of Ferrari fans everywhere. Other than being clad in the Italian marque’s trademark colour, this particular Big Bang also sports the iconic Prancing Horse etched into its case back and tone-on-tone stitching on its strap – a feature reminiscent of Ferrari’s plush upholstery.

In the engine bay of this Big Bang Ferrari and visible through the sapphire dial is the Unico movement with a flyback function that beats at 28,800vph. It offers 72 hours of power reserve and is water resistant to 100 meters.

Each watch also comes with two straps (red or black) that can be swapped effortlessly, thanks to its innovative quick-change system inspired by the safety seatbelt mechanism found in Ferrari cars.

The Big Bang Ferrari Singapore edition will be unveiled at The Hour Glass’ pop-up store in Paragon on September 18, in conjunction with the 2013 Formula One Singtel Singapore Grand Prix.

This timepiece will only be available at The Hour Glass boutiques and in a limited edition of 50 numbered pieces.
