You no longer have to head to Paris to stock up on gorgeous smelling Diptyque candles, or traipse the streets of Stockholm for a sniff of a Byredo bottle. You could, of course, still do that if you wanted to. Or, you could get clicking and visit the newly launched escentials.com e-commerce site and have your favourite beauty products delivered right to your doorstep in under two days—yes, it's already been tried-and-tested by yours truly.

For those familiar with the Escentials brand, you'll know that besides Byredo and Diptyque, the Luxasia-owned retail concept also carries cult brands like Annick Goutal, Eve Lom, Lipstick Queen, Serge Lutens and more.

Wolfgang Baier, Group CEO of Luxasia, says, “It is all about giving customers more shopping options and greater accessibility to cutting-edge fragrance, skincare and beauty products. Escentials.com marks the exciting start of brands under Luxasia breaking into the digital space.”

Byredo Black Saffron Eau de Parfum

Byredo founder Ben Gorham may have grown up in Stockholm, but it's India, the home country of his beloved mother, that has inspired many of his scents. Saffron, for example, is one of the most expensive spices in the world, and also the national symbol of India. The Byredo Black Saffron Eau de Parfum, with its citrus notes of pomelo and berries, and warm notes of blonde wood and vetiver, is a heady mix.
