We spoke to three of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands insiders to find out more about their experience.

What was your most recent purchase at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands?
Serene Chua (SC) I recently got a few pieces of jewellery from the Tiffany & Co Paper Flowers collection. The Tiffany & Co duplex boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands has such excellent service—they really know how to make you feel special. When the boutique staff heard that I wanted the Paper Flowers diamond and tanzanite earrings—there was only one pair in Singapore at that time—they invited me to be the first to make the purchase! Imagine how exhilarated and grateful I was! I also purchased the gorgeous Paper Flowers necklace and ring, while I was served the most delightful breakfast at the boutique one Sunday morning. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

Plus, the team at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands also presented me with the choice of shopping vouchers or a fine dining experience at Cut by Wolfgang Puck, and offered me a complimentary limousine ride that day, along with a beautiful pink “handbag”, which housed delicious mooncakes.

What do you love about the shopping experience at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands?
SC Besides getting the 3 per cent back in Reward Dollars on most brands, I look forward to the complimentary limousine service and shopping concierge. I love that the Reward Dollars I earn can be used to offset future retail purchases and dining experiences. The seasonal Double Rewards privileges are also enticing to a shopaholic such as myself. 

I also like that the mall is spacious and well-structured, and the service staff at the luxury boutiques are very client‑oriented and friendly, which makes my shopping experience even more memorable. Once, my children tagged along with me, and they were given complimentary sampan rides, Digital Light Canvas playtime and entry to the ArtScience Museum. After a day of shopping, I can enjoy a good meal and relax at the Banyan Tree Spa at Marina Bay Sands.

Tell us about your luxury wish list this Christmas. 
SC I hope Santa already has my wish list! I’m interested in a few yellow diamond pieces from Tiffany & Co, along with items from Cartier’s Panthère de Cartier collection, Bvlgari’s Fiorever collection and Chanel’s Cruise collection. I also want a Gucci clutch, a Balmain jacket, a Versace dress, and a fur bag and sneakers from Miu Miu.

Tell us about your recent purchases at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. 
Sammi Lim (SL) The list is pretty long! It ranges from clothes, bags and accessories, to watches, perfumes and household items, from brands including Hermès, Richard Mille and Parfums Henry Jacques.

How did you learn about “Discover The Shoppes”?
SL I was already a Sands Rewards LifeStyle Elite member, but after I attended a Singapore Tatler private dinner last year, the team introduced the initiative to me personally.

What are some of the perks?
SL The Retail Concierge team would deliver the vouchers and valet parking coupons to you personally and offer you a buggy service to the shop that you want to go to. Walking to the concierge counter, shopping bags in hand, in order to carry out the redemptions is definitely not appealing, especially in such a big mall. I am well taken care of, and the convenience encourages me to shop more!

What else makes you want to go back?
SL The vibe and ambience make me feel like I’m outside of Singapore! This special shopping experience differentiates The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands from the rest.

Alfred Chua (AC) I bought four watches from Audemars Piguet, along with bags and clothes from Hermès and Louis Vuitton, as well as clothes from Boss, Boggi Milano and Fendi. My wife also frequents Chanel and Bottega Veneta.

How did you learn about “Discover The Shoppes”? 
AC My wife and I were recently invited to a private dinner with Singapore Tatler at Adrift by David Myers, and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands team shared the details with us personally.

What do you like about the shopping experience? 
AC It is great! I like that the mall is a one-stop shopping destination where I can get everything I need. The parking is also convenient.

What do you intend to buy next?
AC I am planning to get another watch, this time hopefully a Patek Philippe Nautilus as I didn’t manage to find one in Paris when I was there.
