See Dawn Koh Wear The Hermès Carré With Panache In Her Own Way
No one better than Hermès knows the sartorial power of accessories. Case in point: its signature Carré silk scarf. Dawn Koh takes the silk road and shows us how to work the maison’s most iconic accessory
Take A Bow
Wear your silk scarf like you would regularly, but tie the scarf with an elaborate bow to bring everyone's attention to the carré.
If your style is more rock chick than bohemian Parisian, try a different look by wearing the scarves in your hair instead. That said, think more Axl Rose or than Erykah Badu.
Tie The Knot
For those with luscious locks, gather your hair into a ponytail and use the carré to tie up your hair. In fact, be daring and experiment—use more than one to add texture and layers.
Another important tip when knotting the scarf is not to do it like your Girl Guide days; wear it loose and knot it mid-way in an almost insouciant manner. Use your favourite band as a scarf ring to knot it.
Celebrate this silk accessory at the Hermès Carré Club, which runs from October 19 to 21, 11am to 8pm daily. Admission is free but for priority access, please register in advance. For those who are driving, you can head directly to 3 Lady Hill Road, but please note that parking facilities will not be available on site.
