When it comes to Chanel's Cruise Accessory collection, it's time to think all things bold and bright

With everything Korea touches in terms of fashion, beauty and entertainment, currently turning to gold, it comes as no surprise that doyene of style, Karl Lagerfeld, chose Seoul, South Korea, as the backdrop for his latest Cruise collection.

With an audience that included the likes of Gisele Bundchen, Rinko Kikuchi, A Sung Ko and Tilda Swinton, and against a futuristic backgroup provided by leading architect Zaha Hadid, Mr Lagerfeld served up a collection every bit as electrifying and avant-garde as the city it was being shown in.

Gone were the days of Chanel's famed monochrome chic, and in their place were eye-popping and vivacious colours ranging from violet, orange to fuschia pinks, adorning everything from shoes to woven bags and glitter adorned bangles. Stripes mingled with patchworks and Chanel fan favourite, the espadrille, made a welcome, colourful return.
