Celina Lin’s glowing skin isn’t the result of magic. It’s thanks to the technologically advanced, non-invasive treatments that pamper her skin silly, courtesy of Dr Karen Soh of Privé Clinic. Microdermabrasion, intense pulsed light, stem cell treatments… and the list goes on.

There was also that time last year, when a stressed out, timestrapped Celina zipped into the clinic to get a hydrating facial a day before her winter trip to the United Arab Emirates desert. When a treatment is unnecessary, however, the line is drawn. “Karen doesn’t add on what I don’t need,” says Celina. “She’s very transparent about each procedure she does for me and the costs.”

Before their professional relationship began, the pair had already fostered a friendship over the years from crossing paths at society events. “Karen and I met socially on many occasions, and she must have thought then that my skin needed help,” jokes Celina. Their connection runs deeper, as was clearly apparent at our photo shoot when they continued chatting even after we wrapped. “We connect on many levels and chat about everything, from architecture to travel, to our kids, to what’s going on around town.”
