Skepta, Neneh Cherry, Little Simz and more A-listers front Bottega Veneta’s latest campaign for its capsule collection of essentials
Bottega Veneta may have made its dramatic exit from Instagram, but it’s nowhere near finished with making viral campaigns that take social media by storm. Cue the brand’s latest campaign for its Wardrobe 02 capsule collection: starring a host of entertainment's coolest names, including British musicians Skepta, Slowthai, Little Simz, Swedish singer-songwriter Neneh Cherry, actors Malachi Kirby and Valeria Golino, to name a few, the campaign reflects creative director Daniel Lee’s fresh new take on fashion for the season.

Though Wardrobe 02 may be an “in-between season”, with practical sartorial essentials and staples to spare, Lee toyed with the idea of marrying the comfort of staying-in clothes with the glamour of going-out clothes. Bright, joyful colours—in vibrant green and yellow—stand out against sharply cut silhouettes in tactile textiles like wool, suede, and velvet, and technical fabrics such as nylon, livened up with the occasional feathers and sparkling pailettes.

Not forgetting, the accessories that the Italian brand is famous for. Lee has already given us hits such as the Pouch and the Cassette, and his viral square toe shoe beloved by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and more celebrities, and this season is no exception. Zoom in on the Mount, a leather envelope bag—which looks set to me the new hit bag of the season—and the Bloc boot, a chic, knee-high number that is sure to be fall’s footwear of choice—perhaps we’ll even see them in action at fashion week, if restrictions are lifted by then.
