The masters of luxury, Bottega Veneta, reveal their sumptious Spring Summer collection

There is no doubting that Bottega Veneta are the masters of understated luxury. Season after season, their collection of clothes, shoes and handbags goes straight to the top of every fashion conscious woman's wishlist and for Spring Summer 2015, it's certainly no exception.

Inspired by the simple movement of the body, Tomas Maier, Bottega Veneta's creative director, has created a simplistic, relaxed yet utterly beautiful and luxurious collection. In hues of blues ranging from navy to sky and pastels including sand, peach and rose, his focus, as has always been the Italian fashion houses' speciality, is on materials. Fabrics such as calf suede, linen, denim, mesh and even double faced cotton all combine to create beautiful, graceful and above all, simple silhouettes.

Moving onto accessories, the flat is back - to match the understated feel of the collection and loafers and sandals combine to create a highly wearable selection. In terms of bags, undoubtedly the houses' biggest catch, the relaxed feel continues with soft, supple shapes in leather, suedes and highlighted with a wide mix of materials.

Speaking of the collection, Tomas Maier, creative director, said: "I was thinking about dance, though not so much the performance aspect than, say, a dancer on her way to rehersal. The woman who has beautiful posture moves her arms gracefully, and has a dancer's walk - this is what I found inspiring."
