If we were to pick a piece of clothing that puts our confidence to some serious test, it would be swimwear. Truth be told, not many brands know how to produce designs that don’t just look good on the body, but also make wearers enjoy wearing them.

Thankfully, there’s Eres. The French label has been synonymous with luxury swimwear since it was founded by Irène Leroux in 1968. The late Leroux was a forward-thinking woman who was unafraid to dream big. In an era where making proper swimwear collections throughout the year wasn’t the norm, she chose to march to her own beat by designing and selling swimwear year-round. At the same time, she started designing tops and bottoms separately, empowering women with a greater control over how they want their final looks to be.

To make women feel comfortable in swimsuits, Eres replaced traditional padding and boning with sleek lines and graphics. The results: sophisticated swimwear that feels like second skin and flatters the wearer’s natural curves. This Eres philosophy is now known as “The Art of the Body”.

The fashion company joined the Chanel family in 1996 and ventured into the world of lingerie two years later with the same design principles: comfort, freedom, support and style.

Besides its deep understanding of what women want, Eres’ other expertise lies in its know how of fabrics especially in its lingerie collections. Over the years, some of its classic materials that allow comfort and freedom to the women’s body include Tulle and Jersey Lumière. The label also uses the most luxurious and beautiful lace, like the Leavers Lace, for its designs. Created more than two centuries ago, this precious material still exudes the same elaborate and sensual appeal today.

Here, we take a look at their latest pieces.

The autumn 2016 lingerie collection was curated with the sensual female form in mind. Mysterious and seductive, there’s not an item here that didn’t tempt and tease us.

The Chéri pieces are outlined with graphic see-through details, commanding attention to your best assets. The mini embroideries on the Tulle range resembles make-up dust on the body; protecting your modesty, yet leaving little to the imagination. Made entirely in lace, the Illusion line tugs on romance, while the Parfum line, what with its lace and silk finishes, is for the innocent at heart. The Evening line’s deep necklines are your best friends when it comes to those low-cut red carpet gowns.

Designer Véronique Leroy partners with Eres to introduce its debut cruise swimwear collection, including clothing and accessories ideal for post-frolic activities. The brand’s two-tone one-piece suits with braided belts and bikini straps as well as daring cuts make for a collection that is at once graphic and contemporary, yet resistant to time and season.
