Calling all yogis out there who are looking for a change—underwater yoga might just be for you. As your body becomes more buoyant in the water, practising underwater yoga can make it easier to hold poses and stay balanced. Either hold your breath underwater for as long as you can, or rent diving equipment to have an actual underwater yoga session.

Forget about coffee, bone broth is in this year. Not only is a warm bowl of broth so good for your stomach during the winter, it is also said to boast some health benefits like improved gut health, joint pain relief and shinier hair. Didn't you hear? Souping is the new juicing.

Looking for meditation alternatives other than deep breathing exercises and om chanting? 2018 is all about alternative meditation. Think sesame-grinding, journaling, and sensory deprivation tanks. Just be open minded and experiment until you find the best meditation technique to soothe your soul.

IV therapies deliver hydration, vitamins and antioxidants to help optimise vital hydration balance. Whether you are struggling to cope with fatigue, jet-lag, or dehydration, you will instantly feel better right after.

As smart devices become more vital in our everyday lives, they can burn us out before we know it. The stress caused by social media, constantly checking work emails and being on our devices late at night can seriously disrupt our sleep cycles.

From going on a digital detox at a seaside resort to making changes to your daily habits, it's time to break free from our devices this year.

Food that we are eating might be key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but little does one know that the air we breathe is also crucial to our wellbeing. With the search for "air purifiers" and "air purifying plants" growing by 270 percent on Pinterest, it's clear that more people have come to realise the importance of maintaining a clean environment for our respiratory systems.

7/10 Non-toxic cosmetics

The clean beauty movement is here, and in 2018, we will continue to see the non-toxic beauty trend grow. With clean beauty brands like Follain, CAP Beauty, and Credo becoming more popular, non-toxic cosmetics are here to stay.

8/10 Gut-friendly food

A healthy gut is the secret a happy and healthy lifestyle, because even your brain’s health is affected by your digestive health. Opt for fermented foods and gut-friendly vegetables and herbs like kale, cauliflower, turmeric, and ginger.

9/10 Hydrogen water

Ditch your energy drinks in 2018 because hydrogen water is a nontoxic and inexpensive alternative to energy drinks. "Hydrogen water" essentially means water into which hydrogen gas is dissolved, and some of them are sold in the form of hydrogen tablets. More beverage companies are looking to invest in this technology and claim that adding more hydrogen to water increases energy, improves recovery after a workout and reduces inflammation.

10/10 The rise of femtech

A US$1.1 billion industry, femtech is all about helping women better understand their bodies. Period tracking apps aren't new, but technology is getting smarter and you can now learn how getting in sync with your cycle can help you operate at peak levels all month long with apps like MyFLO.

Some women-founded startups are also starting to use technology to help women fast-track birth control access and serve as virtual clinics.
