1. The Lives of Women: How have women progressed in Singapore since independence?

What Held in collaboration with the National Museum of Singapore and the Singapore Women's Hall of Fame (SWHF), the second of a three-part series of exhibitions explores the lives of women in Singapore, with reference to 160 women who were inducted into the SWHF. This particular edition will examine key issues that are affecting women in Singapore since the nation's independence, in preparation for the final edition which looks towards the future.

2. Goodman: B-Sides 2019

What Art lovers and plant enthusiasts will be thrilled to visit Singapore's largest arts enclave Goodman Arts Centre this Saturday, as it transforms into a creative garden space that will host fun workshops, pop-up performances and a bustling lifestyle market with trinkets to pique your interest. Don't forget to embark on the art trails as well, which will bring participants into the studios of artists and get a rare backstage glimpse of the Tian Yun Beijing Opera.

3. Racines—An exhibition by Hom Nguyen

What French-Vietnamese artist Hom Nguyen will be exhibiting a collection of 20 artworks for his solo exhibition at Miaja Gallery. The collection, Racines, offers gallery-goers an insight into the artist's life and his journey to finding his cultural identity as an Asian immigrant in Europe. "My career hasn't been shaped by ideas that are imposed or formatted," shared Hom,  "my work is a reflection of my own freedom of expression, and of who I truly am, my background and my roots."

4. Artbox Singapore

What The creative pop-up from Bangkok is back for its third and biggest edition, which will spread across a 200,000-square-foot event space at Singapore Turf Club. Taking place over two consecutive weekends, visitors will be greeted by three-level high containers upon entering the space and can look forward to various experiential activities, including perfumery workshops and a multi-sensory trail—to name a few artist-led sessions.  

Gourmands will also be thrilled to find a delectable array of new food additions at the pop-up. From mentaiko fishball noodles to peranakan favourites such as the assam laksa, there's a never-ending list of food options for you to eat your fill.
