Once Upon A Time On The Orient Express

Two original 1930 train carriages and a 158-year‑old locomotive will be shipped from France to Singapore, taking pride of place at the West Lawn of the Gardens by the Bay. Kris Foundation 10th Anniversary Concert

What To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of Kris Foundation, a Singapore-based charity that empowers young classical musicians, homegrown pianist Lim Yan, who was also awarded the Young Artist Award in 2006, will serenade audiences with his timeless renditions of Mozart’s Sonata in D Major K.284, Rachmaninov’s 13 Preludes Op.32 and a selection of Scarlatti’s Sonatas.

SSO Christmas Fundraising Concerts

What Classical music lovers will be thrilled to return back to the concert hall for an evening of live music, as the Singapore Symphony Orchestra releases a string of concerts to fundraise for its immediate funding needs, all while celebrating the festive season. On December 15 and 16, it will host its very first fundraiser concerts, helmed by associate conductor Joshua Tan. A total of 400 audiences each night will be able to soak in a medley of compositions by Vivaldi, Bach and Vaughan Williams performed by the SSO string ensemble. The concerts are also a part of a pilot trial for larger scale live performances, where it is mandatory to conduct pre-event Antigen Rapid Tests prior to the performances. Audience members are also required to carry their TraceTogether tokens or use the app in compliance with the enhanced safety measures for the event to go smoothly.

Santa Runs For Wishes 2020

What Make-A-Wish Singapore, the non-profit organisation that fulfils life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, hosts its seventh annual run to fundraise for their wish-granting efforts. Participants can submit their runs of varying distances (50km, 10km, 5km or 2km) through the 42Race application, where their distance will contribute to the collective target of 21,517km—the total distance for a round trip from Singapore to the North Pole.
