Inside the wedding of Jean-Christophe, Prince Napoléon and Countess Olympia von und zu Arco-Zinneberg

While we are still some time away from the United Kingdom’s next big royal wedding, Paris enjoyed a high-profile ceremony of their own last weekend, when Prince Jean-Christophe Napoléon Bonaparte—the great-great-great nephew of Emperor Napoléon Bonaparte I—wedded Countess Olympia von und zu Arco-Zinneberg. In a twist of fate, the blue-blooded bride is also the great-great-great niece of Napoléon's second wife, Archduchess Marie-Louise of Austria.

The ceremony was held at Les Invalides, home to the late Napoléon's tomb. Then, the couple threw a lavish reception at Château de Fontainebleau, a medieval palace that counts amongst the largest royal châteaux in France. The wedding was attended by many royal guests, including the soon-to-be-wed Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, as well as newlyweds Alessandra de Osma and Prince Christian de Hanover.
