For Dr. June Goh, the director of Neuro-Anaesthesia at Singapore General Hospital, luxury is all about having the time to do anything she likes, and turning to her favourite distraction: fashion.

June is one busy lady, and it is easy to see why. Above her role as a senior consultant and director of Neuro-Anaesthesia at Singapore General Hospital, June also wears the teaching hat, as an adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. So when asked what life’s luxuries mean to her, June instantly had the answer – time.

“Luxury is having the time to do whatever I want to do, spending time with my mum, my family, and not having to keep track of time,” she says.

One of the ways she takes time off is through travelling, and June shared how she loves having a hard copy magazine to carry around, but when she’s on holiday – such as a quiet mountain resort or at the beach – SingaporeTatler.Com is really great to have on-the-go. “I was on a trip to India, and on such long rides, it’s nice to have something to read that’s current, and that gives me a great fashion fix as well.”

Speaking about fashion, which June calls her “favourite distraction”, the stylish doctor also revealed that she takes style cues from good friends, “like Susanna Kang who’s always so exciting, and Rany Moran who’s always so regal. I’ve a lot to learn from them”.
